Autumn Nomad didn’t begin with a business plan. It began the way many meaningful things do: organically, intuitively, and rooted in a deep love for craft, food, and gathering. In the early days, the café reflected what felt expected of our surroundings here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with birch textures, cozy rustic details and warm mountain elements. It was grounded and familiar. But over time, I realized that just because we’re in the White Mountains doesn’t mean our New Hampshire event catering creativity has to stay there.

As Autumn Nomad found its rhythm, I felt pulled toward inspiration that came from other places I’ve always loved that felt sun-washed, transportive, and emotionally expansive. Hawaii. Palm Springs. Joshua Tree. The Southwest. A palette that lives somewhere between grounded and dreamy with desert textures mixed with tropical ease.
I wanted Autumn Nomad to feel distinct. A brand that could hold both: rustic roots and ethereal expression, New Hampshire hospitality with a sense of escape. That shift allowed the work to become more personal, artistic and uniquely our own.
In the beginning, Autumn Nomad was a rustic cake studio and café that offered handmade pastries, thoughtfully crafted cakes, and nourishing food. That foundation still matters deeply to me.
But long before Autumn Nomad existed, catering was already part of my life. I’ve been catering nearly my entire career. I worked for multiple catering companies, learning the rhythm, logistics, and energy of events from the inside out. For two years, I worked as a sous chef cooking live in clients’ homes for private dinners and intimate gatherings. That experience shaped me profoundly. Cooking in real time, in personal spaces, under pressure (while connecting directly with people) became my comfort zone. It taught me confidence, adaptability, and the importance of presence.

Because of that background, I’ve always believed in building things slowly and organically. Autumn Nomad’s New Hampshire event catering catering began the same way. Private dinners. House parties. Intimate celebrations. Those early events allowed us to expand without rushing, honoring my belief that the best things are built thoughtfully over time. And then, almost without realizing it, those gatherings began to grow.
As demand evolved, I started participating in editorial events and styled shoots which was another turning point for the brand. In those spaces, it no longer made sense to simply place a cake on a table and walk away. The visuals mattered as much as the flavors.
Food needed to exist within the overall atmosphere of an event. Cakes became sculptural. Cocktails became part of the color story. Styling became inseparable from the menu itself. That’s when it clicked for me that I didn’t just want to make food. I wanted to design it. Today, Autumn Nomad offers New Hampshire event catering experiences where menus are curated not only for taste, but for mood, season, and story.
Eventually, couples began asking for more than dessert. Brides reached out wondering if I would cater their weddings. At the time, I hesitated. Staffing felt like a real concern, and I was honest about that.
But one bride, in particular, changed everything. She told me she loved my food and that she needed me to cook for her wedding. I explained my worries, and she simply said: “I don’t care. I trust you completely.” So I said yes.
That wedding, about seven years ago, became a defining moment. I found the staff. I figured it out. And along the way, I naturally stepped into something bigger than I expected. From that moment on, everything blossomed.

Today, Autumn Nomad has become a highly curated, immersive events brand—almost a one-stop shop. From catering and craft cocktails, to wedding cakes and thoughtful event design, every element works together under a single creative vision.
I want every event to feel personal, expressive, and unlike anything else. I don’t want my work (or my clients’ experiences) to look like anyone else’s. Autumn Nomad is rustic roots meeting ethereal expression. Desert meeting tropics. Grounded yet otherworldly. And as we continue to grow, the brand will continue to evolve slowly and organically—always rooted in food and hospitality, while reaching for something a little more magical.
If you’re dreaming of a New Hampshire wedding or event experience that feels artistic, intentional, and deeply personal, we’d love to help bring your vision to life. Reach out to begin planning something unforgettable.
